Do you ever have days when you want to pull the cover over your head and let it all happen without your participation?
When being honest, I do, and maybe more often than I would like. During these difficult days, I reflect on what a day means. I remind myself some people tearfully ache for just one more day for themselves or a loved one. That thought alone makes me feel ashamed for not making better use of my gift.
Each day of life is a precious gift from God, a treasure. Looking at the day as it stretches out before you. An opportunity to seek God’s help to discern what is most important. Set priorities according to God’s will and use them as your guide along your pathway.
It’s my prayer when you experience days of dread and difficulty that you thoughtfully reframe what living this day means, make use of your time and energy, and pause to give thanks for God’s gift to you.
This is the day that the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
