Many times I get an idea, and I’m off to do my own thing. Suddenly I halt as doubt swells up inside, grabbing my throat, and making me feel confused. At this point, my thought is perhaps it’s true that I can’t succeed, but at my core, I know with Jesus, it’s possible.

A sense of inadequacy by itself can be immobilizing. When I recognize God’s abiding Presence, then I also know His desire to help.

Often it can be the smallest decisions in life where we’re indecisive. It’s can also be when our negative voice loudly speaks to us. Then I am reminded, I don’t need to carry the burden but trust God’s lead to open up the way before me as I move forward.

I’m able to do this because I know I asked God to lead me, and His direction is trustworthy—on time, every time, all the time.

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
